Things to Do.
Rosewood Little Dix Bay is a beach lovers paradise. The BVI’s is home to up to 60 islands, many are easily accessible from the resort. Additionally, travelers can visit the famous Granite Rock formations, called the Baths. Here travelers can enjoy amazing snorkeling and caving opportunities. Rosewood Little Dix Bay also arranges complimentary boat service to 6 different island experiences. Pack a picnic and enjoy your own private beach. Getting There
It takes a little effort to get to Virgin Gorda, but the rewards are immense. We highly recommend a 5-to-7-night stay. Clients can choose to fly directly into St. Thomas or San Juan, Puerto Rico, at which time they can either charter or join a commercial flight to Virgin Gorda or Tortola. From Tortola, Rosewood Little Dix Bay will arrange a 20-minute ferry transfer to the resort. Alternatively, clients can also land in St. Thomas and transfer to Rosewood Little Dix Bay by boat charter or ferry service.
Cottage Rooms | Ocean View or Ocean Front
There are two distinct types of Cottage Rooms at Rosewood Little Dix Bay. The Ocean View Cottages (three hundred and fifty square feet) are situated in sets of fours, two cottages on the ground level two cottages on the upper level. These cottages are great for families as they can interconnect. Also great for larger groups or larger families as Elli Travel Group can help block out an entire building for your stay.
The Beachfront Cottages are client favorites as they feature the original rock exposed walls that have been present since the resorts opening in the 1960s… A kind of an ode to the beauty of Virgin Gorda. These boulders are the type of that you find throughout the island and remind clients of the famous Baths, which is just minutes away from Rosewood Little Dix Bay. If an outdoor shower is important, the ocean front cottage is the lowest room category with this exclusive feature.
Ocean View Junior Suites
The Junior Suites are perfect for luxury travelers who want a little more space as they start at 680 square feet. They are clustered in groups of four, two Junior Suites on the ground level, two Junior Suites on the upper level. This is the only other room category, besides the Ocean View Cottages, that offers connecting options for families, with a Jr. Suite King connecting to a Jr Suite with two queen beds. The suites are set a little further from the half mile beach, but you are still just a forty-five second walk to the ocean’s edge.
One Bedroom Suites
This is the first suite category at Rosewood Little Dix Bay that offers a separate living room. The One Bedroom Suite features original rock exposed walls and the suite offers plenty of space as they average a little over seven hundred square feet. These are best for those who love to hear gentle waves from their patio as they are situated steps from the sand. Families with napping children also love these suites as they can hear the baby monitors from their beach chairs.
Treehouse Suites
The Treehouse Suites are freestanding suites built on stilts with expansive
wraparound terrace and surrounded by lush palm trees. The hexagonal layout offers approximately 970 square feet of living space, a beautiful bathroom w/ a deep soaking tub and outdoor shower. For families with two small children Rosewood Little Dix Bay can accommodate a family by adding two rollaway beds. For couples who want a little more privacy these would be a wonderful choice as well. The white sand beach is only 1 minute walk away…
One Bedroom Pool Suites & Grand One Bedroom Pool Suites
Located on the eastern side of the resort with 1000 to 1200 square feet of living space. The private One Bedroom Suite pools are advertised as plunge pools but honestly, they are large and surrounded by a nice outdoor patio or sitting area. The suites are vastly different in terms of layouts, The One Bedroom Pool Suites have a smaller living area and provides the option to guarantee an adjoining One Bedroom Pool Suite next to it. This is a perfect option for couples traveling together who want to enjoy time together but appreciate the opportunity to relax and retire to their private space.
The Grand One Bedroom Pool Suite is the other suite category at Rosewood Little Dix Bay that allows two rollaway beds for families with small children. They also offer more privacy for couples. Like the Treehouse suites the layout is hexagonal with tons of open space and an extensive outdoor shower. They are situated slightly further from the beach and elevated. Their location provides wonderful views. But, like every accommodation at Rosewood Little Dix Bay, you are just steps from the half mile white sandy beach.
Two Bedroom Suites | Steps from the Sand
There are three Two-bedroom Suites, centrally located, perfect for families with young kids. These are best for the client who want extended space as the suites start at 1500 square feet. One of the best features of the suite is that the bedrooms are located on either side of the living room. Although it does not feature an outdoor pool, the outdoor patio is steps from the sand and perfect for family dinners and meals.
Villas | Two to Four Bedrooms Options
Located on the Western Side of the resort and next to each other, the Villas are great for larger families or families who want two Villas next to each other. The two-bedroom Columbus House (1743 square feet) has the original design
details with darker beam ceilings, a room with a king bed and the other with double beds. This is the smallest villa with a full kitchen for families. The Columbus House also features a wonderful private pool.
The Lawrence House is one of the three-bedroom villas which is located next to Columbus House. Very similar in terms of design and offers two king bedded rooms along with a queen bedded room. These are great for intergenerational families who want to create a special, exclusive family getaway.
The four-bedroom Villa Joy (three thousand square feet) is a hillside villa located on Dover Hill which is a four-minute golf cart ride down to the beach, from here you get incredible views of the island, the surrounding islands an amazing sunset… It features a private pool, four bedrooms, three kings and one double, all with outdoor terraces looking out onto that sea.
There are two other villas that will be added to the villa inventory at the Rosewood Little Dix Bay. Villa Candor is the largest four-bedroom villa at 4500 square feet. Villa Innocence is a wonderful three-bedroom villa featuring over 4400 square feet of living space with expansive bay views from Dover Hill
Special Considerations
When reviewing your room choice, it is important to note that outdoor showers are available in most categories above the Cottage Ocean View. In addition, televisions are offered in a limited number of room categories.
