A Sense of Place | Our Favorite Rooms & Suites for Couples
One thing to mention, although Rosewood Mayakoba sits on over 25 acres of the Mayakoba Resort, the resort offers a boutique feel with less than 125 rooms, suites, and multi-bedroom residences. The décor and ambience offer a sophisticated & modern living experience coupled with local, organic craftsmanship. The rooms beam with natural light and the authentic Mayan décor provides the perfect backdrop for a guest’s luxurious vacation. Most rooms offer our clients favorite in room amenities including: a deep soaking tub, heated plunge pools and of course, the ability to shower under the stars in their outdoor garden shower. The resort offers two different worlds, the lagoon view suites are close to the main facilities, like the spa, and offer serene views of the Rosewood Mayakoba waterways, while the 29 rooms & suites by the beach offer beachfront access or ocean views from roof top decks & pools. A favorite room category for beach lovers, is the Beachfront Suite, a 779 square foot one bedroom suite, with private plunge pool, steps from the gorgeous beach.

Of course, when you are traveling to Riviera Maya, being in the sun is top of mind, and Rosewood Mayakoba has created different oasis for adults, families, and children. During our three visits to Rosewood Mayakoba, we always enjoyed the leisure bike ride from our Lagoon Villa to the beach. Each room comes with dedicated bikes for the easy bike ride to the beachfront. Alternatively, the resort has numerous golf carts to help families and couples who need the extra help. The beachfront complex has two pool areas steps from the sand. Clients love the setup as it allows easy access to both the ocean and the pools. The newly designed adult only area, Aqui me Quedo (Here I Stay), offers three infinity pools, lounges and the retro food truck, La Cantina. The family friendly beachside pool, The Punta Bonita, offers front row views of the Caribbean Sea. The family pool is flanked by the kids club and the Punta Bonita Restaurant which offers influences from Mexico’s Southern Pacific Coast. For tranquility, clients can also chose the family friendly pool by the lobby, Casa del Lago Pool.
Culinary | One Experience Better than the Last
One of the highlights of your Rosewood Mayakoba experience is that the resort celebrates and honors different Regional Mexican Cuisine throughout their restaurants. The Lobby restaurant, Casa de Lago, serves the wonderful Rosewood Elite Breakfast celebrating Central Mexico and at night it transforms into an eclectic menu featuring a combination of Italian Flavors, with locally sourced Mayan ingredients. One of our favorite experiences at Rosewood Mayakoba, is the family style dinner offered at La Ceiba Garden & Kitchen. The experience, located in the resorts chef garden, is a celebration of Mayan Flavors created with locally sourced ingredients and using traditional open fire techniques. It’s the opportunity to mingle with other guests while enjoy local craft cocktails and music. You can enjoy tastes of Southern Pacific Coast at Punta Bonita and even try your hand in making your own tortillas. For seafood lovers, Agave Azul combines the tastes of Baja Mexico with Asian Inspired Cooking techniques.
Sense, a Rosewood Spa
Awarded with Five Stars by Forbes in 2023, Sense, a Rosewood Spa, located within lush vegetation in the jungle, offers the perfect place to relax and enjoy a customized Wellness Journey. Twelve treatment rooms, yoga pavilion, fitness studio, hydrotherapy circuits and more... The options are endless at the Wellness center. On our last visit, we enjoyed our morning workouts in the modern fitness center. The gym was well equipped, and we were able to spin, run and lift weights.
