Luxury Hotels: Want Exceptional Value? Where to Find It.

"With many colleges and universities ending their fall semesters this year at Thanksgiving, what better way to enjoy family time together?"

Where You Can Travel and Not Break the Bank

In the post-Covid world, there is a desire to seek value...and we have options for you. Clients continue to inquire about travel, and we are grateful...this is our passion and our profession after all. As we research options for clients, we love to share when we stumble across an exceptional value. Thanksgiving at Fairmont Mayakoba is a remarkable option. Riviera Maya, Mexico is one of the few destinations still offering nonstop flights from both New York and Los Angeles. From either coast, CUN airport is approximately a 4 hour flight and your private transfer will meet you outside baggage claim and whisk you to the resort in 45 minutes. And with many colleges and universities ending their fall semesters this year at Thanksgiving, what better way to enjoy family time together?

What we love about Fairmont Mayakoba

In addition to the fact that their Thanksgiving rates start at $140 per night for a room that can sleep 4 people (!), this is a fabulous beach resort. Set on 240 acres of tropical forest with Caribbean beach front and turquoise waters, Fairmont Mayakoba sits within the exclusive gated Mayakoba resort community (also home to Rosewood Mayakoba, Banyan Tree Mayakoba, and Andaz Mayakoba). Temperatures year round are warm enough to swim in their five pools (the kids' pool has a water slide), play a round of golf on PGA's El Camaleon course, and enjoy enough resort space to feel comfortable with the kids biking down to the beach independently after breakfast, while you meander more leisurely.

Who is Best Suited at Fairmont Mayakoba

Families return to Fairmont Mayakoba regularly for its convenience, strong value, warm hospitality, and diverse activities. Nonstop flights and connecting rooms are a big draw, along with loads of activities to keep everyone happy. At the resort, they have Greg Norman golf, sandcastle contests, mezcal & tequila tastings, single or double kayaks, beach volleyball, bikes, and more. Off property, head over to a half day cenote exploration (our favorite is Kantun-Chi). Or learn to kitesurf and enjoy one of today's fastest growing watersports.

Tips When Visiting Fairmont Mayakoba

With 240 acres and about 400 rooms throughout, this is an expansive resort and you want to make sure you are in the location and room category that is best for your visit. All rooms are spacious and average about 450 square feet, however resort location is key, based on your preferences. Some room categories include butler service, some have private plunge pools, and some venture up to 1,100 square feet.
