Puerto Rico has a rich restaurant tradition. On a recent visit we sampled the traditional at La Mallorquina, one of the oldest restaurants in Old San Juan, and one of the newet additions, Casa Cortez ChocoBar. What a day we had sampling new takes on traditional staples.
Salads were dressed with tropical scented vinaigrettes...
The Chocolate Batida in Casa Cortez.... Cocoa grown and harvested in the mountains of Puerto Rico.
A taste of the old guard in this thriving, historical restaurant.
