Art, Adventure & Food
Head over to Cowgirl BBQ for music & good food. We loved this family friendly/casual restaurant where legend has it the owner placed a kids play area outside his office so that he can see his kids every day. A patron recommended the smoked chicken enchiladas "Christmas Style", (w/ Red & Green Chile Sauces). You also have to try their Ice Cream Baked Potato. Sunday afternoon is great for hanging on the front patio and listening to live music....

A handful of people told us about this out of the way local's restaurant. It's owner is Salvadorian and besides the traditional New Mexican Fare he has several El Salvadoran dishes. We ate Papusas stuffed with Flank Steak & Cheese and the Green Chile burger. Needless to say we are still dreaming of the Papusas.
Canyon Road: Art Galleries
Santa Fe is an artist haven. About a 10 minute walk from the main Plaza you reach Canyon Road. You can stroll up the street & find hundreds of galleries. Lose yourself in contemporary Art, Sculptures & beautiful gardens.
Around the Plaza
There is something quaint around every corner of the town. There are wonderful museums and churches to explore. We loved the sunset views from several roof top bars.
Mellow Velo Bicycles will outfit you w/ a bike, helmet & trail map. At 7000 feet and steady uphill climb the biking is challenging but rewarding as you find breathtaking views. There are plenty of trails for beginners to advanced riders. Alternatively you can take a customized bike tour of Santa Fe....
Two blocks from the Santa Fe Plaza is Pascuals serving New Mexican Cuisine. It was our last meal in the city and thankfully the service and food were unbelievable. Serving local organic food, we ordered the CHILE RELLENO CON HUEVOS Y FRIJOLES NEGROS Y SALSA. Others at the community table ordered heavenly looking pancakes.
